What
are tissue salts?
Tissue Salts,
also called cell salts or biochemic salts, are
composed of minerals which occur naturally in our bodies and all
organic matter on earth, such as plants, rocks and soil.
Dr Scheussler, a prominent 19th
Century German doctor, conducted research which demonstrated that,
when reduced to ashes, each human cell contains 12 minerals or
biochemic tissue salts and that these minerals should be
present in all living cells in perfect balance to
ensure good health.
Imbalance,
or a deficiency of any of the tissue salts, causes disease and the
body begins to develop symptoms associated with
the tissue salts that are lacking.
Restoring
the correct balance of tissue salts in the body will therefore

Biochemistry and is still practiced today by homeopaths and

Are
tissue salts supplements or medicine?
A little of both in a way! Tissue
salts can be described as 'Nutroceuticals' -
